A JORDAN Slade hat-trick helped Barnoldswick Town's East Lancashire team to a comprehensive 4-0 win against Langho at Silentnight Stadium on Saturday.

Town took the lead on 32 minutes when Slade held off three opponents before slotting the ball skilfully into the bottom corner of the net past Leo Spencer in the Langho goal, following an assist by James Butler.

Matthew Holt stood in for the injured Adam Wormwell in goal and Holt preserved Town’s lead with a breathtaking finger tip save on 44 minutes.

Holt provided a commanding presence in goal throughout the game and reinforced his credentials as a key member of the squad.

The home side extended their lead with a carbon copy of the first goal. Butler slipped the ball through the defensive cordon and the Slade scored with another calm finish on 57 minutes.

Butler hit the upright on 68 minutes following an excellent pass from Jonny Davies.

Slade completed an excellent hat-trick on 70 minutes when the hard-working Joe Brown played him in again and the striker made the art of goal scoring look easy.

Michael Dale crowned a promising debut by completing the scoring on 89 minutes.
