CONONLEY Sports Club advanced to the final of the Northern Plant Hire Trophy with a 2-1 win against Broomhill at Bronte Fields on Saturday.

Cononley's two goals came from man of the match Mish Allen and Chris Lumsden, while Tyler Brigg was on the scoresheet for Broomhill.

The Northern Plant Hire Trophy final between Cononley, who are in Division One, and Trawden Celtic Juniors, a Premier Division side, will be held at 6.30pm next Tuesday at Gargrave AFC.

Before then, Broomhill will host Trawden Celtic Juniors in a league game this Saturday, while another cup match, the Premier Division Cup semi-final between Grassington United and Settle United will be held at Town End Field on Saturday.

Grassington, who also still have three league games to play, will host Silsden Whitestar on Monday evening. They will then host Settle United on Saturday, May 4.

Grassington United Reserves missed out on the chance to win the Division Two title after losing 2-0 to AFC Barnoldswick on Saturday.

AFC Barnoldswick's win, which featured goals by Callum Uttley and man of the match Wissam Badri, leaves the West Craven side trailing leaders Grassington by four points.

If AFC Barnoldswick win their two games in hand, at home to Skipton Town Reserves this Saturday and away to Broom Reserves on Saturday, May 4, they will win the division.

There were two league matches in Division Three. Man of the match Mark Loughlin's brace led Settle United 3rds beat Cononley Sports Club 2nds 7-0. The other five Settle goals came from Matthew Baines, Daniel Cardus, Ryan Dunn, William Smith and Jack Syms.

A brace by Jordan Hough and a goal by Tom Snowden helped Cross Hills Reserves secure a 3-3 draw against iPlay FC at Sutton Playing Fields on Saturday.
