ZACK Dale finished as the top goalscorer of the season in the North West Counties League when he scored a hat-trick to help Barnoldswick Town beat Abbey Hey 6-0 at Silentnight Stadium on Saturday.

Andrew Hill got Town off to a terrific start when he scored a great free-kick to put the home side 1-0 up after six minutes.

Dale then scored the first of his three goals when he slotted home in the 16th minute.

With just three minutes remaining in the first half, Ethan Kershaw's finish gave Town a 3-0 lead at the break.

Dale then scored his 42nd goal of the season in the 70th minute to put Barlick 4-0 up.

Teal Amos came off the bench to score Town's fifth after 76 minutes.

Dale then wrapped up his hat-trick in the 81st minute to give Town a 6-0 victory.

Dale finishes the season as the North West Counties League top scorer with 43 goals, one ahead of Charnock Richard's Carl Grimshaw, who bagged a brace in his team's 2-1 win against Whitchurch Alport.

The victory sees Town finish their Premier Division season in 11th place on 56 points.
