Matches for Barnoldswick, Earby and Settle's first teams in the Ribblesdale League's Senior Division were called off because of rain on Saturday.

Barnoldswick II did manage to get a 25-over game in on Saturday, but they lost by 14 runs to Stacksteads II.

Barnoldswick bowled the visitors to Victory Park out for 127, as Nomi Aktar took 3-24.

Despite scores of 26 by Jamaal Alcock 24 by David Scothern, Barlick came up short with 113-8 in their 25 overs.

Games across the Aire-Wharfe League were also affected, with a few being played but most were either abandoned or cancelled.

In Division Two, the weather forced the Steeton's home game against Beckwithshaw to be abandoned.

Beckwithshaw scored 192-9 as Bradley Akrigg and Gary Boulton took four wickets apiece for Steeton.

Steeton then batted for13.3 overs before the game had to be abandoned.

In Division Three, Menston scored 85-8 in 28 overs at Skipton, as skipper Gary Owens took 4-10 for the home side.

Skipton were on 26-2 after 12 overs when the match had to be called off because of rain.

In the Niddersdale District and Amateur League, Upper Wharfedale's home game against Alne II at Grassington was cancelled.
