SETTLE United ended a successful season by completing the treble with a 4-3 victory against rivals Silsden Whitestar in the Craven League's Premier Division Cup final at Sutton Playing Fields last Tuesday.

A hat-trick by man of the match Aaron Woodhouse and a goal by Tom Strickland provided all of the goals for Settle, who lead the South Craven side 3-1 at half-time.

John Beckwith bagged a brace and Andrew Kaye scored for Silsden Whitestar, who finished runners-up.

Whitestar also finished second in the Premier Division behind Settle, as the league title race went down to the wire between the two clubs.

Settle player-manager David Worthington led United to a record of 16 wins and one drew as they finished their league campaign on 49 points, while Silsden never lost, winning 15 and drawing three to end their season on 48 points.

In addition to the Premier Division Cup final win and league title, Settle won the Craven FA Cup final trophy with a penalty shoot-out victory against Rimington earlier this month.
