SILSDEN Girls' Under-14s football team have enjoyed an extremely successful season in the West Riding Girls U14s Second Division.

The girls’ team, managed by FA Level Two coach Liam Best and Jamie Cunningham, have managed 13 victories from 15 league games, as well as reaching the semi-final of the cup competition.

The work doesn’t stop there, though, and Silsden are recruiting for their attempt at the top next season, and even hope to run a reserve team.

The team would welcome interest from current school year eight and year nine girls in and around the area; players who are keen to develop their skills in a competitive, but fun environment.

The club prides itself on being a friendly Charter Standard club, with high standards of child welfare and close links to the local community in which many of its players, staff and fans live.

Silsden are sponsored by Skipton Health and Fitness and have secured additional sponsorship for next season from Dalec, a locally-based electrical contractor.
