TRAGEDY struck for Haworth II in their Mewies Solicitors Craven & District League Division Three match at Bingley Congs II as one of their players died.

The clash continued after news reached the teams that Ian Wycherley was stable at Bradford Royal Infirmary and waiting for clearance from a doctor.

However, minutes after leaving the field, both teams were informed Wycherley had suffered a massive heart attack and died.

In the match itself, Haworth II lost by six wickets after being bowled out for 74.
