SILSDEN have announced their action-packed pre-season friendly programme, featuring seven games in 21 days.

The Cobbydalers will kick off their batch of friendlies with a home clash against Avro on Saturday, July 6. This will be followed by further home games against Ossett United on Wednesday, July 10 and Hyde United three days later.

Danny Forrest's side will then travel to Nelson for a clash on Friday, July 19.

Ilkley Town will be Silsden's next destination on Tuesday, July 23, with a trip to Barrowford Celtic planned for just two days later.

Their pre-season programme will be completed with a date against Charnock Richard on Saturday, July 27.

Craig Bentham, Silsden player-assistant manager, tweeted: "Can’t wait to get started again!"

Silsden have been moved into the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division from next season as part of the Football Association's adjustments to the National League System.

Meanwhile, Mateusz Tomas and Niall Sultan have both left Silsden after two and three years’ service respectively.

Tomas leaves the Cobbydalers due to work commitments after scoring four goals in 55 appearances for Silsden, while Sultan, who leaves due to travelling, managed 21 goals in 77 appearances.

Forrest said: “I’m disappointed to see both lads go but I’d really like to wish them all the best in their futures."

Last month's Keighley FA Senior Charity Cup clash between Silsden and Steeton, which the former side won 3-1, raised £1,500 for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
