A YOUNG Skipton golfer achieved the rare feat of hitting a hole-in-one.
Junior golfer Ben Topper did what many golfers fail to do throughout their career when he carded the hole-in-one playing for the Skipton Golf Club’s junior team at St Ives on the par 3 seventh hole.
Keith Airey narrowly missed out on claiming the Bradford Clubman’s Championship held at Northcliffe. His gross 74 saw him finish in second place.
In the ladies section, Sarah Coy took the honours in the Victory Cup, two ahead of both Kay Donoghue and Andrea Walker.
The men’s section June Medal and Liversedge Trophy produced the standout score of the season so far from Ben Murphy who carded a net 59, a full 10 shots ahead of nearest rival Derek Ives to win Division Two.
Division One saw scoring back to more normal levels with Frazer Clarke edging out Rob Windle on countback after both returned net 68s.
