Gargrave continued their recent run of victories with a 2-0 win over local rivals Hellifield.

Tom Varey had another outstanding game giving his side the lead with a close range shot and Gargrave's defence held firm as the visitors went in search of an equaliser.

Mark Webb's brave header sealed a home win.

Skipton Town entertained Oxenhope and were denied the points as Oxenhope scored two late goals in a hard-fought game in which no quarter was given.

Embsay had a creditable draw at WFC Clitheroe while the anticipated top of the table clash between Skipton LMS and Cononley did not take place for which an explanation will be presented to the Management Committee.

Grassington United's home game with Bradley also did not take place due to the ground being unavailable.

In Division One Grindleton occupy top spot after a 4-0 win at Oxenhope Reserves while Carleton had a single goal win at home to Padiham thanks to Steven Morphet.

Ben Brown scored both Gargrave Reserves' goals in a 3-2 defeat at Long Lee.

His first was from the penalty spot and his second the result of a quickly taken free-kick however Christian Moon was voted Man-of-the-Match with an impressive display.

Rolls Royce bounced back from last week's defeat with a much-improved performance with a 6-2 thrashing of Cowling.

The highlight was a four goal haul from Craig Walton whose goalbound effort was helped over the line by Chris Owen to give Rolls the early lead.

Walton increased the lead with two further goals, one from the penalty spot, and a first of the season for Wayne Stead gave Rolls a commanding lead.

Cowling pulled a goal back only for Walton to claim a first-half hat-trick with a superb volley.

After Owen had hit the post Walton capped a brilliant performance with a fourth goal before Cowling ended the scoring when their sub netted from a tight angle.

In Division Two there was a welcome win for Horton over Cononley Sports Reserves by 4-3.

Their small squad has been ravaged by injuries, which led to last week's game being called off.

However they were delighted to have secured a win with new signing Yan Deriez scoring the decisive fourth goal.

Marco Mezzanotte and a brilliant individual effort from Rob Jackson were also on target.

Skipton Town Reserves were left to rue missed chances that could have won them the game at Pendle Forest.

The only goal went to the opposition with 15 minutes left as the Town defence was caught napping by a route one goal. Young referee Graham Hoggarth controlled the game well.

Embsay and Rolls Royce second string shared eight goals at Embsay where the visitors took advantage of the slope and Scott Slade put his side in front.

They doubled their tally when Carl Ashton scrambled the ball into the net and with chances being created should have increased the lead.

Ashton hit the bar early in the second- half before Embsay got on the scoresheet and levelled the scores from the penalty spot.

The home side then took advantage of a mix-up in the Rolls defence to take the lead only for Scott Slade to score his second with a header to equalise.

Winger Dale Robinson gave Rolls the lead with a good shot and his side missed further chances to seal the win when with only seconds remaining Embsay got an equaliser through hesitation in the Rolls defence and the ball was toe-poked into the net.

Earby Town are also on a good run and extended this with a 7-2 win at Skipton LMS Reserves.

Jake Palmer gave them an early lead with a header and James Oldroyd increased the lead with a penalty only for LMS to convert a penalty. Earby also missed a penalty as they dominated this game and they increased the lead when Palmer scored his second.

The second-half followed a similar pattern with Paul Oldroyd having an easy tap in and the fifth gaol came when Palmer completed his hat-trick.

LMS were struggling to keep possession and more goals followed for the visitors when Paul Oldroyd scored his second and Wayne Hooper wrapped up the scoring for Earby with the seventh. LMS were rewarded for their efforts with a second goal.

Barnoldswick Barons lead Division Three after winning 4-1 at Bradley Reserves while Settle United Reserves trail them after a strong performance at Hellifield Reserves resulted in a 9-1 victory.

Hellifield's young side tried manfully to cope with their visitors' blend of experience and youth but they repeatedly tore holes in the Hellifield defence only to find Steven Dugdale in the home goal in outstanding form making several saves to deny the rampant Settle attack even more goals.

Youngsters Lee Walker (5), Mark Loughlin (2) Matthew Baines and the experienced Mark McGoldrick were on target for Settle while Dale Denham's consolation goal was a quality 25 yard volley which gave Steve Howarth no chance of saving.

Another side near the top of the Division, Silsden White Star, also won beating Earby Town Reserves 3-1 with Matthew Haines replying for Earby with a wonderful 25 yard strike.
