CRAVEN Lawn Tennis Club are celebrating their 140th anniversary in 2019 and it was fitting that there was a record entry for their annual President's Day event.
The eventual winners were Joe Emmett and Janet Thompson who triumphed in a closely-fought set after a tense tie break over Jordan Hudson and Lynda Yewdall.
The victory was especially sweet for Emmett and Thompson as they have been the runners up in the previous three years so fully deserved their victory at last.
But Hudson and Yewdall played exceptionally well in the contest.
