WHARFEDALE go into this Saturday's game against Preston Grasshoppers in good spirits after a well-deserved and much-needed 24-5 victory at Scunthorpe last weekend.
After the Hoppers' close 10-9 win against Sheffield Tigers, they are in fifth place in National League Two North with 11 points, while Wharfedale have moved up to 11th with night points from their four outings.
Going back to 1994/95, Wharfedale have won eight of 12 games between the two clubs.
To add spice to the encounter, which will kick off at the Avenue at 3pm, Preston will feature a few ex-Wharfedale players in their team.
