WHARFEDALE 4ths never looked back after a good start and went on to beat a short-handed Selby 4ths side by a score of 46-14.
Selby arrived at Wharfedale with only nine men but Wharfedale for the first time had more than enough players, so were able to supply five players to bring the numbers up.
P Marklew, B Heyes, B Rymer, J Breare and A Birkby all played a good game for Selby.
A good solid encounter was played out and Wharfedale got off to a good start and were three tries up in 20 minutes.
Selby then settled in and got on the scoreboard with a converted try. Wharfedale finished the half with another try.
The second half saw Selby have a good period of pressure and solid running earning them their second converted try.
As the game entered the final quarter, Wharfedale sealed the victory with four more tries.
Wharfedale scorers were F Carr (3), M Viner (2), L Craven, M Beer and R Snowden. M Tywang had three conversions.
