KEIGHLEY Cricket Club have completed their fifth signing of the close season with the fascinating capture of Richard Holland.

Holland, who currently coaches the Leeds/Bradford Women’s MCCU team, was on the books of Sussex County Cricket Club.

The left-handed batsman and spinner went through the Academy at Sussex to senior level, just falling short of playing for the county itself.

He also had the honour of captaining England Schools' South of England Under-15s team, which included players such as Owais Shah and Rob Key, who both went on to play for England at international test level.

He has also played at a high standard of league cricket in Sussex for Middleton CC, and more recently Newick CC.

Holland is looking forward to a new challenge and playing in the All Rounder Bradford Premier League and like the recent capture of Richard Robinson, will bring much needed experience and advice to the Keighley dressing room.

This should give the Lawkholme Laners a much better, balanced team coming into the new season.
