BOLTON Abbey teen Molly Whitehead qualified to ride for England in the mounted games trials at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in May.
Whitehead, 14, a pupil at Upper Wharfedale School who has been riding since the age of four, is a member of Pendle Forest and Craven Hunt Pony Club.
For the first time, Pendle's mounted games team had qualified at the 2019 Horse of the Year Show in Birmingham to ride in the mounted games England trials last weekend at Dallas Burston Polo Club in Warwickshire.
Her mum, Karen Whitehead, said a total of 32 riders competed and Molly, riding on her pony Mo, was one of five selected for the May 11-17 trials at Windsor.
Karen said: "Molly is absolutely thrilled to pieces to be selected for the England team. She thinks it's a great honour."
