SKIPTON Town Ladies have teamed up with sportswear company Kitlocker to raise some much needed funds for the club.

They will have their name and club badge on some specially designed hoodies and t-shirts, with £8 for every hoodie sold going back to the club, and £6 for every t-shirt.

With much of the media's focus on the Premier League and if and when that can restart, non-league and grassroots clubs had their seasons ended long ago.

Meanwhile, the women's football season, apart from the Women's Super League and Championship, was declared null and void in March.

The female game has therefore taken a major hit, with fears over many individual clubs and even the game itself.

So many, like Skipton, are coming up with fundraising ideas to keep afloat and their partnership with Kitlocker could prove vital.

In a statement on their website, www.kitlocker.com, the sportswear company said: "We’ve teamed up with Skipton Town Ladies so that you can help to support your local club in more ways than one.

"Grassroots sport has been at the heart of everything Team Kitlocker has done since 2005, so it's only right that we assist clubs where we can.

"Help raise vital funds in these uncertain times. £8 from every hoodie sale and £6 from every t-shirt sale (for adult sizes) is given directly back to your club at the end of each month to keep things ticking over. #SupportYourLocalClub"
