SKIPTON Golf Club’s season is now in full swing after the titles for scratch and handicap were played out.

Course record holder Gavin Stocker came out on top in the Scratch FNF trophy with a score of 145 over his two rounds, narrowly beating Rob Windle by one shot.

The Handicap trophy went the way of George Barclay following two very consistent rounds of net 69 to total 138. Again, it was tight though as Jason Titorenko was only a shot behind in second place.

The Harold Ideson trophy, saw last year’s winners, Alex and Anne Acornley, repeat their success with a total of 41 points, two ahead of runners up Chris Payne and Pat Eaton.

The men’s August medal produced some good golf. John Chacksfield winning the first division with a net 66. The best score on the day came from Iain Tyrer, whose net 64 gave him a comfortable margin of victory.
