It was back to the league programme with several fixtures falling victim of the rain that fell on Friday and Saturday morning.

Skipton LMS head the Premier Division despite dropping a point to a Gargrave side that had to call on reserve team players to fulfil the fixture in a 2-2 draw.

Cononley Sports hit ten against Skipton Town, while Hellifield were shown no mercy by last year's champions Oxenhope who hit them for eight.

The basement battle went the way of Embsay, inflicting a 6-0 home defeat on Bradley.

In Division One Pendle Athletic remain a point behind leaders Grindleton after beating Carleton 4-1, while Rolls Royce are showing improvement with a splendid 2-1 win at Oxenhope, never a easy place to visit.

Earby Town maintain top spot in Division Two with a comprehensive 6-0 home against LMS reserves while their neighbours Pendle Renegades gained a point at Skipton Town Reserves despite having two players sent off in the second half.

Barnoldswick Barons stretched the lead at the top of Division Three with a 5-1 home win over Grindleton Reserves while for the second successive week Skipton Town Academy beat a top club, Silsden Whitestar by 2-1 and Bradley Reserves lost at Oakworth by 9-1.

LMS were held to a 2-2 draw by a Gargrave side containing five reserves, which led to their reserves fixture being postponed. Gargrave's Man-of-the-Match Jonathan Chapman gave his side the lead before the equaliser came from a corner for the home side who then began to dominate the match. However Gargrave came back in the second half and a 40-yard special from Matt Brown gave them the lead. But LMS continued to pressurise Gargrave and scrambled in a equaliser.

Cononley were under pressure themselves against Skipton Town in the early stages and there was no evidence of the goal rush to follow, but once Cononley hit the net, goals came at regular intervals with Stevie Gott (3) leading the way and a brace from Andrew Hudson, Chris Lumsden, Paul Cauvin and one from Adam Smith making up the ten goal tally with Town replying twice. Incidentally the two sides meet again tomorrow.

Bradley are entrenched at the bottom of the league and their six-goal home defeat to next to bottom club Embsay was a blow. The visitors felt that they could have had more goals as they missed chance after chance but did score through a Neil Bradley hat-trick, Matt Reynolds, Ben Graham and Neil Robinson.

In Division One Rolls Royce won 2-1 at Oxenhope Reserves, electing to play against the notorious slope and worked hard to secure a win. Mark Elliott gave them the lead midway through the half and he doubled the score early in the second half. Rolls confined Oxenhope to few chances but they did score from one of these. However the visitors hung on to extend their winning streak to four league games.

Earby Town sit on top of Division Two following a 6-0 defeat of Skipton LMS Reserves. Paul Oldroyd was the match winner with four goals. On a sticky pitch the conditions did not help however once Earby took control LMS had very little to offer in attack. Oldroyd opened the scoring and Wayne Hooper's header before half-time doubled the score. A second half hat-trick by Oldroyd along with a deflected shot by Chris Parry made up the scoring.

Rolls Royce Reserves played against the wind and a bizarre piece of defending presented the lead to Grassington United Reserves. In a rare home attack Rolls drew level through Liam Somers and with the wind in their favour Rolls put the pressure on and finally scored when Scott Slade scored with a header. However like the first half, in a rare attack Grassington equalised leaving the home side disappointed not to have won.

Horton struggled to field 11 men and although they were level at half-time thanks to a brilliantly struck shot from Marco Mezzanotte, injuries reduced them to nine men and they lost 4-1 to Pendle Forest.

Skipton Town Academy sprang another surprise result in Division Three when they defeated high placed side Silsden Whitestar 3-2. Town opened the scoring with an excellent goal from full back Stuart Marshall only for the visitors to draw level. The best move of the match also brought the best goal when Craig Johnson finished very well. In the second half Silsden put Town under pressure and equalised with 20 minutes left. Town introduced their subs and one of them got the winner when the visiting goalkeeper made a slip.
