SKIPTON Hockey Club, who play in Division One of the Yorkshire Women's Hockey League, suffered their second defeat in two games last weekend.
They lost 3-2 at Thirsk 2 on the opening day and they went up against Leeds Adel 3 in their second fixture.
It was their opponents who dominated the first half, scoring three goals to go in at half-time 3-0 ahead.
Skipton came back fighting after the interval, but could not break down Leeds Adel's defence. They had a few shots on goal but just failed to score, meaning the game ended 3-0 to Leeds Adel.
Becky Stapleton was Skipton's man of the match, while the opposition man of the match was awarded to Lara Wilson.
Skipton's next match is at home to Slazengers 2 this morning. That one commences at 10:45am at Ben Rhydding Sports Club.
Training for Skipton is on Mondays, while their matches are on Saturdays.
