OTLEY Town and Oxenhope Recreation played out a thriller, as Ilkley Town and Field both had postponed games in the latest round of West Yorkshire League fixtures.

In the Premier Division, Field and Ilkley could not capitalise on their early season form.

Field were due to play in a mouthwatering top of the table clash with Beeston St Anthony, but that was called off after the Beeston squad was forced to self-isolate due to coronavirus-related reasons.

Ilkley tweeted that their game at Robin Hood Athletic was also off because of a Covid-19 issue.

So that all meant star billing went to Otley and Oxenhope, who played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in Division One.

Sam Murphy and Keann Shaw struck for Oxenhope to rescue them a valuable point, while Otley's goals came courtesy of Brandon Hammond and Harry Hawkins.

Elsewhere, Pool were beaten by a solitary goal away to Aberford Albion.

The defeat meant Pool suffered back to back defeats, putting them in 11th and just one point off the foot of the table.

Salts' home fixture against Glasshoughton Rock was postponed.

In Division Two, Brighouse Sports claimed their first league win of the season.

A Thomas Robinson hat-trick ensured they claimed all three points in a exciting 5-3 away win against Swillington Saints Welfare.
