SKIPTON Ladies had derby day delight as they made it two secure wins on the bounce with a 3-0 win over Airedale.

Following up from their 5-2 victory over Slazengers 2, Jayne Norman, captain Helen Cartlidge and new recruit Jackie Thornborrow all netted for the visitors.

After a nervy start in Horsforth, Skipton started to pile the pressure onto the Airedale defence.

They forced errors to earn some attacking short corners and eventually broke the deadlock when Norman tapped over in the first half.

The away team played some super hockey with transfers across the pitch and utilising all their players in the build up.

This all opened up the hosts for skipper Cartlidge to double her side's lead.

As the opposition started to tire, Skipton applied more slick moves and a dummy from Cartlidge, allowed Thornborrow to add a third.
