CLUBS from Bradford and beyond have been rejoicing at the news that the Football Foundation have just announced the completion of their Local Football Facility Plans.

The plans are detailed reports that map out the football facilities needed across every local authority area in England.

Over the last two years, the Football Foundation have worked with The FA, local authorities and communities to create 318 of these tailored plans.

They are now working with local authorities and partners to turn these plans into reality.

The Football Foundation say the plans have been created to unlock the power pitches for every community in England.

Creating better facilities transforms lives and means more people can play the national game, as well as improve their physical and mental health. Grassroots football can also empower young people and strengthen communities.

Collectively, the plans set out a national roadmap to achieve this.

The Football Foundation, Premier League, The FA and Government have all committed funds to deliver these plans but now need to work with local authorities and partners to turn them into reality.

Everyone has their part to play. If you're ready to work with the Football Foundation, you can visit the link detailing the plans (https://footballfoundation.org.uk/local-plans), enter your postcode in the search bar and find your local plan.

Here are three reasons why the Football Foundation think you should get involved...

SHARE YOUR VISION

Got an idea for a project not featured on your local plan? No worries, get in touch with a brief description of what it is you're looking to do and a member of our team will get back to you.

START SMALL

It's not just the large scale projects that create an impact.

Although they're not included on the local plans, smaller capital projects such as goalposts or fencing play an equally important role in helping us transform the experience for football players up and down the country.

IMPROVING GRASS PITCHES

We know that better quality pitches create a better experience for everyone.

That's why we've set a goal of improving 20,000 grass football pitches across the country over the next 10 years.

We want to make sure our grassroots game has the quality surfaces it deserves.
