WITH Bradford's non-league teams allowed to return to training, some have been squeezing in some behind closed doors friendlies.

Silsden had a successful evening against Salts on Tuesday, with a young squad, which included teenage Bradford City Football Development scholar Lewis Gardner, emerging as 2-0 winners.

The goals for Danny Forrest's side came courtesy of Robbie Fox and Dylan Drovi.

Brighouse also enjoyed a win and a clean sheet in their friendly with Retford United.

Reliable hitman Eddie Church was a little off colour for once, but fortunately that didn't matter, as Mohammed Ibrahim, Joe Jagger and Jack Boyle all netted in a 3-0 win.

There will be slightly more glamorous opposition at the Yorkshire Payments Stadium on July 17, with former Brighouse striker Aaron Martin and his Harrogate team-mates due down for a pre-season friendly.

Liversedge also played a behind closed doors friendly against Yorkshire Amateur League side Littletown to warm up for their FA Vase game with Hebburn Town next weekend.

The score in that one has not been disclosed.
