A young Settle runner struck gold having raced for his county last weekend.
Selected to run for Yorkshire, Jack Sanderson of Settle Harriers, competed in the boys u15’s British Inter County Fell Running Championship at Up The Nab , near Glossop.
Sanderson won the race and the Yorkshire team ( BU15’s) took gold.
The young runner, who also comes from Settle, came up against 93 other racers.
Sanderson won the race with a race time of 00:25:14.
His nearest competitor was Yorkshire teammate Tom Hooper, who finished the race in second with a time of 00:25:59. And in third was Thomas Mckee.
