BARNOLDSWICK Town responded to the departure of ex manager Andy Clarkson with a defeat on Saturday.
They travelled to Squires Gate for a thrilling encounter, but were on the wrong end of a 4-2 scoreline.
Town started well, Alex Ralph causing a number of problems from the get go
Ralph found the head of Gareth Hill on minute three, but his header went narrowly wide of the post.
Ralph then found Aaron Fleming, but he was met by a brilliant last ditch challenge.
But seven minutes before the break, Squires broke the deadlock, Awe firing a shot into the bottom left corner.
They doubled their lead shortly before the interval, and things were made worse two minutes after the break when the home side struck a third.
Fleming did pull one back three minutes after, however it was merely a consolation as the hosts were awarded a penalty and they dispatched it with ease. Fleming pulled another back to make it 4-2 at full-time.
