SKIPTON Swimming Club were extremely privileged to have eight swimmers qualify for this prestigious event, (Ned, Paige, Rohan, Roan, Niall, Keelan, Jack, Sam, and Poppy have all made the qualification times.)
The Swim England National Winter Championships is the biggest English swimming meet of the winter months, with Britain’s top senior swimmers often involved.
This year’s event took place between 3 – 5 December at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield.
After a year’s hiatus, this year’s event shaped up to be the largest Winter Championships in recent history. The event saw 25m short course pools operate simultaneously throughout the morning Heats sessions, before their National Champions were crowned during exciting Final sessions of Junior and Open finals.
