BARNOLDSWICK Town had to come from behind to rescue a 2-2 draw at home to Irlam on Saturday.
A strike in either half from talisman Gareth Hill was enough to earn Barlick a stalemate.
The hosts started on the front foot and it didn't take them long to stamp their authority on proceedings.
Ten minutes in, Hill poked home from an Alex Ralph cross at the back post to score yet another goal this season.
However, it was a quick response from Irlam which perhaps too Barlick by surprise, and they equalised just before the 20 minute mark and went ahead on minute 34.
Ethan Cartwright was sent racing clear after a delightful flick from an Irlam midfielder, and Cartwright dispatched clinically into the bottom right-hand corner.
The half-time whistle blew and the away side went into the interval with a deserved lead.
Thankfully for Barlick, they came out of the blocks firing in the second half, and just when they needed it , Alex Ralph brilliantly supplied Hill at the back post with a diving header, and the forward man prevailed, 2-2 FT.
