BEN Gorman's brace sent Trawden Celtic Juniors top of the Craven League Premier Division, as they edged out Grassington United 3-2 last Saturday.

Jake Hart grabbed Trawden's other goal, as efforts from Freddie Binns and Joshua Metcalfe proved in vain for third-placed Grassington.

That took Trawden above previous leaders AFC Barnoldswick, after the latter surprisingly lost 3-2 at Carleton Sports Club, despite a Josh Newman double.

Carleton's goals came courtesy of Joshua Banks, Owen Bridge and Robert Matthews, as they moved up to fifth with the victory.

Elsewhere, Skipton Town moved into the second round of the Northern Plant Hire Trophy with a 3-0 win at Addingham, Toby Meynell scoring twice.

In the same competition, Daniel Paton netted four times as Rolls Reserves moved into the quarter-finals with a superb 6-0 win over Padiham FC Juniors Community.

Baildon Trinity Juniors moved into the last-eight too, after they beat Grindleton 3-1.

In the Division Two Cup, Samual Holmes scored five times as Otley Town 3rds stunned Skipton Town Reserves 8-0 to move into the semi-finals.

There was a busy Division Three programme, and Cononley Sports Club Second Team moved above Addingham Reserves by thumping them 8-2, William Beresford and Cameron Knowles both scoring twice.

AFC Crossleys Reserves moved above Settle United 3rd and into a second with a fine 4-1 away win, while Carleton Sports Club 2nd moved up to third-bottom after a 5-2 victory at fellow strugglers iPlay FC 2nd Team.

The other result in that division saw mid-table Otley Town 4ths squeeze past rock-bottom Sutton Reserves 1-0.
