RIBBLESDALE travelled to lowly Ripon buoyed by their good win against promotion seeking Hullensians the previous week.
Ripon have been showing improvement of late and a close encounter was anticipated.
Ribb started well and after soaking up initial pressure drove downfield and a catch and drive was mauled over with Michael Thwaite converting to give an early 7 - 0 lead.
Ripon's backs looked pacey and dangerous and so it proved with winger Clements scoring a converted try and a penalty from Williams giving the hosts a 10 - 7 interval lead.
Ribbs' forwards struggled in the second half and Ripon extended their lead with tries from Mewes, Williams, Newcombe and Hesmondhalgh.
A Williams conversion and penalty completed the scoring with Ribbs only reply being a well taken try from prolific scrum half Jack Macleod who was put away in the corner by Adam Stubbs, 35-12 to Ripon (FT).
This was a disappointing result after recent improvement and Ribb must now go back to the drawing board as the season nears its close with only three games remaining. Beginning with another promotion seeking side. Wheatley Hills, visit Grove Park this week.
