The top two met in Division Two in a nine-goal thriller with Earby Town just edging home 5-4.

Trawden Celtic and Pendle Forest kept up the pressure on the leaders with victories over Grassington Reserves and Embsay Reserves while Rolls Royce Reserves, after two big defeats in their previous outings, beat Horton 6-1.

Cononley Reserves had something to smile about after a 12-goal hammering last week. They went to the same ground and beat Pendle Renegades 4-3.

The remaining game saw Town Reserves win the Skipton derby with a single goal win over LMS Reserves.

Barnoldswick Barons hit a dozen against Bradley Reserves to keep top spot in Division Three.

They are pursued by Silsden Whitestar, 3-2 winners at home to Cowling Reserves, and Grindleton Reserves were 6-4 winners at Skipton Town A.

Back in the Premier Division, Cononley Sports' ill discipline led to two players being sent off and with other players cautioned, it was not a good day for the leaders.

Fielding a team weakened by suspensions and the absence of leading scorer Andrew Hudson who is away in Australia, they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Grassington - their second loss in succession.

Oxenhope were too strong for Gargrave and led 3-0 at the break however Kristian Hodgson did pull one back for the visitors in a 4-1 defeat.

Hellifield gave a strong solid performance to gain a 2-0 win over visitors Skipton Town, who had plenty of possession without piercing a determined home defence.

Twice James Newhouse provided excellent passes for Carl Stanford to show his ability to score.

James Wright hit the bar and Ryan Preston also went close to increasing the lead.

In Division One Oxenhope Reserves took an early lead at Gargrave Reserves but Ben Brown's pace beat the offside trap and he scored from an acute angle to level before full back Al Tudhope's deflected shot from 30 yards found the net to give the home side the lead.

This was short lived however when an excellent cross was headed home for the equaliser.

Both sides went close before the visitors snatched a winning goal when a long ball down the middle was not cleared and Oxenhope scored with ten minutes remaining.

Rolls Royce had previously won five on the trot but the enforced lay off meant their first outing in eight weeks was going to be difficult and so it proved.

Long Lee took the lead after ten minutes and Rolls struggled to keep the home side at bay and were grateful that the crossbar saved them along with goalkeeper Parkinson making several stops.

Rolls grabbed a equaliser through Jason Wright before the break. Rolls battled hard in the second half without creating chances and with ten minutes to go Long Lee went in front only for Wright to have a second goal ruled out before Long Lee scored two late goals to take the points with a 4-1 win.

The top game in Division Two was a thriller with Chatburn in second place taking leaders Earby Town right to the final whistle as Town won 5-4. Chatburn took the lead after 15 minutes.

However Earby were soon level when the Oldroyd combination resulted in Paul scoring. Earby were soon in the lead when Paul Oldroyd netted after good work from Jay Farrell. As half-time approached Chatburn scored a second goal to send the teams in level at the break.

Chatburn took the lead when Earby failed to clear their lines, although they thought there was a hand ball in the movement that lead to the goal.

Increased pressure from Earby brought a third goal and a hat-trick for Paul Oldroyd.

The introduction of sub Gary Hooper brought a fourth goal and Earby scored a fifth through Wayne Hooper.

Chatburn's route one policy gave them a fourth goal and a nervous final few minutes before the final whistle.

Rolls Royce Reserves inflicted a 6-1 defeat on visitors Horton, who had a player dismissed in the last few minutes.

Horton had a penalty saved by keeper Scott Slade and although Rolls had the better of the play they did not score until ten minutes before the break when Carl Ashton headed home.

Horton levelled matters when Yan Deiriz scored with a good shot.

The second half was all Rolls who scored five further goals without reply. Ashton scored two more, Nasir Siddiq hit two and sub Gavin Day added another.

Cononley Sports Reserves went back to the scene of last week's humiliating defeat and against different opposition, Pendle Renegades, won by 4-3 with Wayne Fisher (2) Ian Jolly and Ewan Scarr on target.

In Division Three Earby Town Reserves had the same winning margin as the first team (5-4), but after 20 minutes a victory looked unlikely when they were three goals down to visitors Oakworth Reserves. Joel Howard pulled a goal back with a great strike and Karl Farrell converted a penalty to make it 3-2 at the break.

Earby were soon level after the restart when John Coates scored and Darren Hodge set up another goal for Ashley Day.

Farrell scored his second by chipping the keeper from 20 yards and his side's firth goal before Oakworth came back with a fourth in the dying minutes.

Skipton Town youth side played on their home pitch for the first time since November. Town's game was littered with errors which proved costly in losing 6-4 to Grindleton Reserves who took the lead through a goalkeeping howler.

But consistent scorer William Knight's two goals put Town in front before the visitors levelled.

The second half saw the visitors convert a penalty. They went on to score three further goals before Town started to play again and were rewarded with two goals, one from new boy Michael Judson and Craig Johnson made the score line more respectful.
