The Devonshire Carpets Craven League Premier Division title will be decided tomorrow as Skipton LMS and Grassington United tackle their final matches.

LMS, favourites to land the title, have stumbled recently allowing Grassington United to overhaul them in with a string of splendid results.

Engine Shed Lane will be the place to be when LMS entertain Clitheroe Lions while Grassington are down the road playing Skipton Town.

The leaders have scored 15 goals in the last three fixtures, defeating WFC Clitheroe 4-1, Waddington 5-1 - despite having a player sent off at 1-0 down - and Gargrave 6-0 on Tuesday night when Adam Steventon scored five times to take his season's tally to 39. Fellow striker Jan Ozdoba has 32.

In Division One Pendle Athletic lead the way with two games remaining. Gargrave Reserves the only club who could overtake them.

They were due to play each other on Wednesday after Pendle had won 3-2 on Saturday against Gargrave, a tired looking Gargrave side were 3-0 down but managed a late rally when Joel Timmins and Ben Brown scored.

There was better news for Gargrave after their cup final replay when they defeated Oakworth 3-1 with Ben Brown with a brace and Richard Orme on target against opponents they meet again in the divisional cup final.

Earby Town are champions of Division Two, but in Division Three the title is wide open after Settle United won at leaders Silsden Whitestar 2-0 with two goals from Robbie Preston.

The North Craven side need to win their remaining matches to win the title to crown a successful season in their first year back in the Craven League.
