WHARFEDALE fell to their sixth defeat in their last seven outings, as South Yorkshire outfit Sheffield Tigers got the better of them on this occasion.
The game concluded at 34-14 to the hosts, however, Dale were in dreamland when Jamie Broadley ran under the posts only a minute into the fixture after he was gifted the ball on the halfway line, and he made no mistake in finishing the job off. Mark Ireland was the man to add the conversion for the visitors.
But that's as good as it got for Dale, with Sheffield pouncing on several discipline errors in the first half to go into the break with a 26-7 lead.
Oscar Canny scored a mere consolation try but it was too little too late.
