BARNOLDSWICK Town have confirmed that prolific centre-forward Max Cane has signed a dual registration deal with FC United of Manchester.

Barlick only confirmed the signing of the highly rated attacker on February 28 after he departed Clitheroe, so his deal with the Manchester side may have come as a surprise to Barnoldswick’s fanbase.

Previously of Nelson and Padiham, Cane is renowned for his prolific goal scoring – something that Barlick are craving at the minute after a dismal recent run.

After signing his dual registration with FC United, Cane commented: “I’m delighted to sign for FC. Once I heard Reno (Neil Reynolds) was looking at me I was excited about the opportunity, and after my first training session it confirmed everything I thought it would be like. The lads were extremely welcoming, and I can’t wait to start playing in front of the FC fans.”
