MEMBERS of Wharfedale Rugby Club’s U16s side conquered the Yorkshire Three Peaks over the weekend in a bid to raise money for an autumn tour.

12 players took on the challenge and they all completed the 24-mile hike in under ten hours, despite temperatures reaching 27 degrees Celsius.

Archie Brewster, Harry Dean, Will Fitton, Oliver Hill, Harry Lancaster, Jack Middleton, Max Shillito, Matthew Snowden, Felix Sumner and Will Sutcliffe were accompanied by their coaches in completing the challenge.

Walkers and/or runners must tackle Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in under 12 hours to complete the quest.

All the money raised will go towards the U16s’ annual tour in October.
