ANDY Hill’s strike at the death meant that Barnoldswick Town rescued a late 2-2 draw at home to Pilkington on Saturday afternoon.
It looked as though the visitors were heading for all three points but Hill was on hand to divert the ball into away side’s goal in stoppage time.
Dominant from the offset, the hosts took the lead when, following a corner, the ball broke to Ben Ashton in a favourable position.
Ashton, in the penalty area, controlled well – before striking a fierce shot beyond the helpless Jake Hilton.
On minute 27 the visitors equalised, as Kane Hackett was on hand to capitalise on an unfortunate bounce, which he placed into the empty net.
Adam Gilchrist swept home with 12 minutes left of the contest, but Barlick responded in the 92nd minute of the match (90 + 2) with Hill burying a header superbly to level the score at 2-2.
Barnoldswick return to action this evening when they host Kendal Town, before they travel to Whitchurch Alport on Saturday.
