BARNOLDSWICK Town returned to winning ways on Tuesday night, edging Glossop North End in a five-goal thriller.

A Jack Foster brace put the seal on a 3-2 victory as the visitors struck late in what was merely a consolation goal.

It was Glossop who took the lead, with Ben Darby capitalising on some poor defending to put his side ahead on minute 17.

With half-time closing in, Barlick found a game-changing leveller deep into stoppage time when Foster scored his first of the evening by slotting a neat right-footed strike beyond the reach of the away side’s goalkeeper.

After the interval, it didn’t take long for the hosts to go ahead, as Foster grabbed a brace only a minute into the second half.

Andrew Hill pushed forward from midfield before laying off the ball to Foster who drilled a low strike past the Glossop goalkeeper.

Ryan Moore sealed the three points on minute 88 after punishing an error from the visitors’ no1 by lobbing the ball into an empty Glossop net.

The away side did strike in stoppage time but it was only a consolation goal.

Up next for Barlick is a trip to Litherland Remyca this Saturday at 3pm.
