FOR the second successive week, fixtures in the Timothy Taylor’s Craven League have been cancelled due to wet weather.
As happened on April 20, each team will receive five points for the matches scheduled on April 27.
In a statement to league clubs, league secretary Peter Forster said: “As you are aware, I have been asking clubs about the state of grounds and whether cricket might be possible on Saturday, April 27. By a substantial majority the answer was no.
“Therefore, all fixtures in the CDCL have been cancelled on Saturday, April 27. All teams will receive five points. The games will not be replayed.
“Fixtures on May 4 will go ahead as planned, and normal ground, weather and light conditions will apply.
“Could colleagues please ensure that the points for last week’s games and for this coming week’s games are entered on play cricket asap.”
