Barnoldswick Town were straight back in cup action on Tuesday night after their Macron Cup success on Saturday, as they romped to another big home win.

This time, they beat Ossett 4-1 in the West Riding County Cup first round, unlocking a tight game by scoring three times in the final half-hour of proceedings.

Bolton grabbed the opening goal of the night after just four minutes, producing a screamer that flew into the net.

He nearly turned provider moments later, but his corner was flicked just wide, before Chingwaro had a penalty appeal for handball turned down.

Instead, Ossett equalised after 24 minutes, Connor Smythe producing a good strike to beat home keeper James Whittingham.

In the second half, Chingwaro looked set to restore Barlick's lead after being slipped in, only for the keeper to make a good save.

He soon made amends, giving Town the lead back on 62 minutes.

Barlick should have wrapped the game up soon after when Procter won a penalty, but the spot kick was saved.

Procter came close with a free-kick soon after, but he sealed the victory with six minutes left by scoring his side's third goal.

And Connor McAuley headed home a late fourth to put some gloss on the scoreline.

Promotion-chasing Barnoldswick are on home soil yet again this Saturday, as they welcome FC Isle of Man to the Silentnight Beds Stadium for a North West Counties Football League Premier Division clash.
