HEBDEN’s Victoria Wilkinson won two gold medals in the Yorkshire Fell Championships on muddy IIkley Moor.

The Great Britain international runner completed the slippery course in 42min 58sec to claim her sixth county women’s title.

Wilkinson finished 26th overall in a race won by the Ilkley Harriers runner Tom Adams in 37:24.

Wilkinson’s second gold came in the team event where her club Bingley Harriers led the way.

The experienced Wilkinson was well supported by juniors Eliza Findlay and Shona Stone, as they helped their club to their sixth championship team title win. It was the third time that Wilkinson has won a team gold.

Holly Page of Calder Valley Fell Runners took the women’s silver medal but was more than three minutes behind Wilkinson.

Appletreewick farmer Ted Mason was the best of the Craven runners in the men’s race. The former BOFRA champion was 11th for Wharfedale Harriers in 40:44.

Fellow Wharfedale runner Sam Watson was 19th in 41:36 while another Harrier Nick Charlesworth took the V50 gold after finishing 25th in 42:38.

Keighley-based Ian Holmes was the first V40 finisher in the colours of Bingley Harriers.

The under-23 men’s title and Alistair Brownlee Trophy went to Nathan Lawson of Dark Peak Fell Runners who was fourth overall after a fine run.

Ruby Sykes of Holmfirth won the women’s under-23 title at the first attempt.
