SUTTON were seen off by two wickets in Division One of the Craven and District League at Bingley Congs in a low-scoring thriller, despite Sam Solley's fine knock of 67.

Sutton posted a modest 138-8, with Solley the only real contributor. Matt Roberts and Harry Greenhalgh both claimed 3-32 for Bingley and Chris Dibb (70no) was the rock of their successful reply, which was badly needed when they stood at 15-5.

Embsay made 210 on their trip to Bull Holme to take on leaders Barrowford.

Dave Wellock (65) and Moshin Saghir (30) were the main contributors as Karum Khan claimed 3-36. The home side were struggling on 160-7 but Shakeel Butt (64no) and Khan (23no) took them to the points as Scott Robinson claimed 3-29.

Foulridge are the early Division Two leaders. They were at Cowling and saw the home side make 178 in their knock. Will Bowden (37) and Ajmal Choudhry (33) were the main contributors.

In reply, Aamir Mohammed (42) and Chris Brooker-Carey (46no) took Foulridge to the spoils by 2 wickets despite 4-30 from Choudhry.

At Gargrave, visitors Chatburn were hustled out 40 with Joe Wood (6-18) and Stuart Weatherill (4-20) doing the damage. Will Smith (24no) and Ted Wilman (13no) took the hosts to the winning post by 10 wickets.

Another low score occurred at Glusburn as Cononley were back in the hut for a paltry 49. The Park Field side lost one wicket achieving victory.
