SKIPTON Swimming Club are looking to recruit a new assistant coach as the number of young swimmers continues to grow.

The club now holds training every day of the week at Craven and West Craven pools for swimmers age 8-18.

The new person will join a team which is led by head coach Ian Scriven who has been at the club for ten years.

During that time the membership has grown and the young swimmers have continued to set new standards of achievement.

A number of Skipton swimmers have reached National Level and set British Age Group records.

Scriven is assisted by a team of volunteer coaches who include Susie Sharp, Issy MacDougall and team-manager Juliette Groves.

The new person will be expected to work alongside the head coach and will assist at all galas and training.

They will hold an ASA Level 2 Coaching Swimming and a Lifeguard qualification.

The club are seeking somebody with knowledge of coaching age-group and youth swimmer.

The club have placed an advert on swimming.org and interested parties have until February 4 to apply.
