Keighley Albion u13s 10

Shaw Cross Sharks u13s 8

KEIGHLEY Albion Under-13s faced off against Shaw Cross Sharks for the second time in consecutive weeks.

This time Shaw Cross knew what to expect and had clearly worked hard in training working on closing down Albion’s number 10, Max Hassan.

Not that it stopped an early score, with quick hands down the line, Jack Tetley orchestrating the attack, leading to Benedict Crowley to stretch and score under the posts after two minutes.

Pressure on the Albion line led to a try for Show Cross in the corner, which was not converted.

It wasn’t until deep into the second half that Albion finally gained the momentum and bagged the try that to stretch the lead. It was of course through that man Max Hassan.

He got the breakthrough, finding a gap in a wilting defence to score out-wide.

Seven minutes from time Shaw Cross scored a second after a sustained period of pressure and keeping the ball alive led to their winger scoring in the corner.
