MATTY Storton says he is buzzing for his first chance at the Super League.

The 20-year-old from Keighley has left Bradford Bulls to sign for Hull Kingston Rovers.

He was one of five Bulls players napped up by Hull KR last week, with his team-mates Joe Keyes, Rowan Milnes, Elliot Minchella and Academy ace Anesu Mudoti. However, Milnes has returned to Betfred Championship side Bradford on a season-long loan.

Storton had a breakthrough season in 2019, making 23 appearances for the Bulls and scored four tries. Storton was voted Bulls' young player of the year for 2019.

The former Oakbank pupil penned a long-term deal, having impressed in the academy.

He made his first-team debut for Bulls in the trip to Toulouse in May 2017, having recovered from major surgery to cure a hamstring injury the previous year.

He had a year left on his existing contract but the Bulls were keen to tie him down for longer.

Storton tweeted: "Just like to a big thanks to the coaching staff and the player for the last six years at Bradford loved it.

"Buzzing to sign for Hull KR for three years can’t wait to get started."
