MAX Hassan starred with four tries as Keighley Albion Under-15s beat Kippax 20-12 in their Yorkshire Juniors Division Two encounter.

The match started at a steady pace, before Keighley's Joe Beck broke down the right edge and passed to Tolly Lickley, who was stopped just short of the line.

But a few passes to the left saw Hassan go over for his first try in the corner.

Kippax hit back almost straightaway by scoring a try of their own to bring the score to 4-4.

Hassan put Albion back in front with another try from short range on the back of a Noel Durkin run. That score was converted by Jack Tetley.

Tom Knight showed promise with two breaks down the left for Keighley, before Hassan completed a first half hat-trick by going in from two metres out.

Tetley's conversion brought the score to 14-4 at the interval.

Despite Albion's Harris Almond showing promise with some great running and both half backs whipping the ball out wide with ease, it was Kippax who scored the first try of the second half.

They went over after a scrum from 20 metres out, going through some lacklustre defending to make it 14-8.

But Hassan grabbed his fourth try with a run from the base of the scrum to secure the win, despite a late consolation for Kippax.
