BULLS have signed former Academy star Joe Brown on an 18-month deal from Wigan Warriors.
The 20-year-old came through the ranks as a Bull before making the move to the DW Stadium in 2017.
Brown, who can feature at full-back, in the centres or on the wing, has featured for England Academy and was part of the Warriors’ Under-19s Academy success last year.
Bulls head coach John Kear has spoken of his delight at Brown putting pen-to-paper on a permanent return to Odsal Stadium.
“He caught my eye at London Skolars where he was on loan, playing regularly and scoring a try a game,” said Kear.
“His potential is there for all to see and Bradford fans will obviously know a lot about him having played for our Academy and he has also played for England Academy too.
“He can play in three positions and the fact he is a homegrown player appealed to us and I am delighted he is here and welcome him on board – now it is time for him to prove how he has matured and earn a first-team place.”
Joe Brown has described the move as a ‘no-brainer’ and is looking forward to working with the tutelage of Kear.
Brown said: “I am really happy to be back, it was the best move for all involved and I am really happy to get the move done.
“John has obviously done a lot in the game, he is a good bloke and I cannot wait to work under him and get some good game time and earn his trust.
“Coming back to familiar surroundings definitely appealed to me, I know the place and a lot of the lads so it was a bit of a no brainer for myself.”
