Great interest in new engine

MARCH 16, 1945: A Watford engineering firm which before the war specialised in the tuning of racing cars, has developed a light aeroplane engine which has aroused considerable interest throughout the aeronautical industry and may well prove of direct financial benefit to the town.

The enterprise shown by the Monaco Motor and Engineering Company of Lower High Street has been recognised by the Ministry of Aircraft Production, which is very interested in the engine, while the Board of Trade, with an eye on the export market, has given the firm great backing.
