Hodge pairing beaten by Kiwis

Andrew Hodge and Peter Reed were beaten to the gold in the World Cup event in Munich at the weekend by an outstanding New Zealand crew in the men’s pair Hebden’s Hodge and Reed were defeated but not totally downcast after the men’s pair final in which they took silver.

THIRTEEN-year-old Niki Chatburn gained a 1500m freestyle silver medal competing in the North Eastern Swimming Championships last weekend. Competing in the longest indoor swimming distance Niki has been making her mark over the last year with a bronze in the winter championships and now a silver.
