Symonds returns to retain Three Peaks title

A runner, who has been concen- trating on marathons to secure a place in the Scottish team for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, won Yorkshire’s Three Peaks Race at the weekend.

Sunday saw the Kendal Winter League presentation at the People’s Hall Sedbergh, It followed a race round the Howgills. The league consists of a series of races held from the start of January through to April and is well supported. The senior men’s championship was won last year by Wharfedale’s Sam Watson but he did not defend his title.
