Sir – The town centre bowling green may be the next victim of the asset/amenity strippers on our council. The reasons given would appear to be parking and finance. So what is the true parking situation in Skipton?

A ‘scandalous’ decision

Sir – By now we will all have received a letter from CDC advising us that we will shortly have to pay for the fortnightly removal of garden waste and “to cover the period from 1st July 2013 you will be asked to pay a charge of £24 per bin to cover collections until March 2015. This works out at roughly £1 per collection…”
