The White Lion
A DALES pub, made famous world-wide this summer because of its position on the route of the Tour de France, is up for sale.
The White Lion Inn at Cray, situated on one of the King of the Mountain stages of the event, is being sold freehold for £380,000.
Alastair McDowell, of Gargrave-based agents Westlake & Co., said: “This traditional hostelry with flagged floors and beamed ceilings is a quintessential rural Yorkshire pub, developed in recent years with 10 letting bedrooms. It has been well known for a long number of years but is now familiar to an audience of millions."
It was a superb opportunity to buy an attractive character property in a magnificent location, he added.
